1. If you want to spend a fabulous time in Portland, this is THE hotel to stay in.

2. The $199 price, which included a fabulous made to order breakfast or buffet, a manager reception every night with beer, wine, liquor, and snacks, and there was also free in/out parking cannot be beat (special package).

The breakfast room (jam-packed for the complimentary breakfast) is also in the basement; while the breakfast is a perfectly serviceable standard conference-style buffet (scrambled eggs, mediocre pastries, omelet bar) it's a shame to eat a boring breakfast in a hotel basement when Portland has such fabulous breakfast spots (including Bijou Cafe on the corner).

5. Don't miss the restaurant in the bank tower just along the road, it has a fabulous view of Mount Hood and great food as well.
