1. We could have used a phone book as well as printed guides to activities, restaurants in the city, but the desk and door attendants knew everything we needed to know, so added a personal touch that was most welcoming and helpful.

3. The hotel is very spare in the lobby, supposedly zen (maybe?) and what it really says is: we are not welcoming you unless you are totally 'into' our cool, hip design style.
