1. We just got tired calling the front desk I guess, since we knew we weren't able to change hotels and we felt that nobody cared anyway--the hotel had gotten their money booking a huge conference with my husband's employer and could care less where the individual participants were comfortable.

2. The whole hotel was full of teams visiting for the world cheerleading championships--huge groups of mostly unescorted teenagers everywhere and our room was right in the middle of all that action.
