1. Usually stay at the Roosevelt when I visit New Orleans but they were sold out and i saw some decent reviews of this place so decided to try it.

3. It has no gym, pay-per view, room-service (though there is a pretty good restaurant by the lobby that does breakfast and lunch) etc, but given it's location (3 blocks from the French Quarter) it can be a great deal if you get a decent rate.
