4. Having said all that, I would recommend this hotel but if like me you need to see the sun, then try and get a room with a view.

5. I like my cup of tea in the morning and I was delighted with the free morning beverage throughout the Omni Rewards programme, however they only had Earl Grey and Blackcurrant which just doesn't cut it for a tea drinker.

6. I paid about $240 per night which I think is average for New Orleans and certainly some of the bigger chains are likely to have set me back a bit more so I'm happy with the price point.

7. If you like lifting weights and really 'working out', don't plan on using the hotel's gym.
