1. Though my family always stayed at the old Downtowner (now the Inn on Bourbon by Ramada) at Bourbon and Toulouse, I have found a new oasis in a city of fun yet chaotic noise and commotion, and it's half a block from Bourbon Street.

5. If you're looking for a decent place that has some character, is very reasonably priced, is close to the fun party stuff and nearby to great food and awesome street performers (Royal Street) then the Prince Conti is the place to stay.
