3. The details are what make a hotel excel, and the details of the room were incredible: very high ceilings, incredible trim work and crown moldings, and a very comfortable king size bed with excellent bedding.

6. The rooms have old fashioned elegance, and while some people may see a bit of wear and tear, to me it just adds comfort.

7. My only issue during the stay was that the cleaning staff failed to properly make my bed - when I returned to the room, the comforter was pulled up and neatly folder, but all the sheets and a blanket were bunched up / balled up underneath the comforter.
