2. During my weekend stay I never saw any prostitutes but this is Miami and the motel is on a main city road outside the resort resort area so you should be prepared to for what city life brings, they do not close the gates to the motel but there is security guard on siteThe staff is also very friendly and you can tell that the management cares about mainting this place in good shape and taking care of the quests - just don't expect perfection.

Here is who and who should not come to Motel Blu:Consider staying at Motel Blu if:You want a good deal for the moneyYou like being reasonbly close to downtown and the beachYou have a car and want easy access to Miami and The Beach and hate paying for parkingYou plan to spend most of your time doing things somewhere else and need a place to sleep at nightAvoid Motel Blu if:You're expecting a beach resort and a vibrant neighborhoodYou're intollerant of normal big city life in a working class areaYou expect perfection My experience this time was mostly positive but I'm giving a 3 out of 5 rating as I think that is fair.

5. We were not on vacation we did not hang out at the pool we wanted some where convienent, clean and economical and this was perfect for our needs.

8. If you dont mind exploring then this Motel is perfect and to be honest, by not staying smack bang in the middle of SoBo, we got to see so much more of the 'real' Miami.
