1. Our room, #1, was up an outdoor flight of stairs and we had a lovely private porch with 2 lounge chairs, a small dining table and chairs, and a litle fountain with orchids in pots.

4. While much of Key West is catering now to the cruise ship business and has become more and more honky-tonk, this lovely hotel retains the former charm and quaintness of Key West in an upscale fashion.

10. The pool areas are just wonderful, with a great cold pool for a hot day (which there were many) and a solar heated pool, both surrounded by lovely gardens, plants and trees and all you can hear is the gentle trickling of water.
