1. The immediate block surrounding the hotel is industrial, but if you go 3 or 4 blocks in any direction, it becomes a quite pleasant residential area.

2. The check-in was quick and pleasant, the room is clean and adequately stocked (although the towels are a bit thin), the furniture is nice (looks fairly new), and the bed comfortable.
