1. The city view is also nice but the best view of downtown Detroit is from Windsor, across the river.

3. If you're going for the races in 2010 (if they have them again) and want to be on Detroit side then the Marriott is the best choice, followed by the Courtyard which is across the street.

5. If you can't afford dinner, at least go to the bar for a cocktail and stroll around floor 73 for the best 360 view of Detroit.
