1. I stayed in the newer part on the 4th floor with the room overlooking a courtyard.
"Swank and Historic " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/9/2012 Vote
2. While the newer section lacks some of the old style charm of the older rooms, the newer rooms have bathrooms which are nicer and larger with exhaust fans, heating lamps, and bigger vanities with a larger 'workspace' counter.
"Beautiful historic hotel..... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/28/2012 Vote
3. Here are the weak spots: I've stayed at this hotel twice; once in the historic section and the second in the 'newer' part of the hotel.
"Beautiful historic hotel..... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/28/2012 Vote
4. In this stay I had one of the newer rooms in the new section and had a nice view of the surrounding neighborhood.
"Historic Hotel in Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/23/2012 Vote
5. However, we stayed in room 444 which is a corner room in the newer section.
"Great Service- Do not stay in the new section of hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/6/2012 Vote
6. The hotel sprawls in different directions, so be clear when booking as to if you will be in the historic main building, or the newer, not as historic but still nice newer section connected by a elevated hallway.
"The charm is ubiquitous " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/27/2012 Vote
7. My room on the top floor of the newer part was furnished in a modern style with ample space, adequate amenities, and not one, but two sinks.
"Stepping back in time... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/25/2011 Vote
8. The hotel has two parts, the older main part (where the lobby is) and the newer part, connected by a sky-bridge walkway that seems to require using stairs.
"Stepping back in time... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/25/2011 Vote
9. However, I must say I was irritated by my room being two blocks from the entrance (the old section of the hotel is small and has been joined over the years via long hallways to newer sections).
"A bit quirky but great location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/26/2011 Vote
10. We love historic hotels (although if you stay in the new wing you get newer rooms and still get to enjoy the historic lobby), and the staff here were just excellent.
"Waited almost 13 years for a chance to come back. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/18/2011 Vote
