6. There is a subway station about 15-20 minute walk from the hotel, but the neighbourhood the hotel is in is pretty bad so you may not feel comfortable or safe walking there, so I would stick with either the shuttle or preferably taxi's.

7. and it looked like they had bed bug covers on the mattress which is always a good sign that they are doing the best to keep guests comfortable--coming from NYC, bed bugs are troublesome).
