1. though the place may not be 'state of the art', the room was clean, comfortable, had a full kitchen, and a BEAUTIFUL location on the river and was under $100 for the night for a river view.

3. It turned out to be quite close to downtown Bend (the 'trendy' part of town starts only two blocks away) so we never needed our car, and there`s a beautiful park right next to the motel too.

4. I could sit on the beautiful lawn and watch them if I wanted, and if I got cold I would just sit inside the `greenhouse` type enclosure (it had panels on sides and roof that openned up).
