1. The room assigned to us apparently had new carpet installed because my husband stepped on a carpet tack that broke off in the heel of his foot.

2. The Ameritel is relatively new and has the usual middle class amenities, and all are well-cared for and up-to-date: nice (for a hotel) exercise room, nice pool and spa, much better than average hot breakfast, large suite rooms, welcoming staff, great cookies in the early evening, etc.

3. I mentioned to her the nite clerk's offer for us to sleep on the floor and how unacceptable that was, she agreed and said he was new and she would talk to him.

8. The location is in a quiet area adjacent to a new shopping mall with good restaurants and a theater all in a an area below the hotel.

9. Front desk very friendly, but no bell staff, which would have been nice as I checked out into new-fallen snow and a parking lot that hadn't been plowed by noon.
