1. There is a choice of rooms in the 'tower' (main building, with elevator), or around the pool (more motel-like, with stairs).

3. After speaking with the Manger Micheal he was very kind and convienced me into booking the rooms the rooms were very clean and look just like the pictures.

5. If however you can live without room service, like a hotel with no queues to check in, cheap food, cheap gambling (table games are only one shift from 5pm daily), cheap drinks, friendly staff and good value for your hard earned money then give it a try.

6. If you like staying at the Bellagio or the Ventian and love the 'service' then you will hate the Spike.

7. The rooms are still a little basic - I really would have liked an in room safe and a coffee machine, and the bathrooms can be a little on the small side (depending on which room you get) but they are clean, comfortable and modern looking.

9. The newly redecorated room had a large flat screen tv with lots of channels, but the whole room smelled like fresh paint.

Even though the room did smell like paint the one thing I could not stand and management should look into is the amount of light that enters through the window, I wish the room would of kept the sunlight out of my eye while I slept during the dayIt is located a block from the old strip and walking alone is not recommended.
