I'm not complaining because if the room had granite counter tops and
new
furniture I'm sure that I would be paying $150 or more per night.

The location is off stripe and the shuttle is long and often so packed you have to wait for the next one, and you better hope that the
new
arrivals don't jump the line and take your spot.

While the Rio is not one of the glitzy hotels like Cosmo,
new
like Aria or decadent like the Bellagio, it has a great feel to it and it's a good value.

I was concerned with some of the reviews on this hotel, but I must say that even though it's not one of the '
new
' showcase hotels on the strip,it is still nice.

When the hotel was put up 20+ years ago, it was a bright
new
off strip concept before the age of mega resorts of the first order (the Wynns, Bellagios, Mandalay Bay, etc).

The Rio takes gambling to an all
