Yes the El Cortez is on Freemont there is a new Highrise Condo going up next to it which when finished should improve the overall neighborhood and they have plenty of exterior and interior Security, another reviewer mentioned it being not so safe I walked night and day between there and the Freemont Street Casino without incident and there is enough activity that you aren`t alone.

10. If you use the El`s shuttle, please make your rez with them as they request? They`re not mind readers and need to know ahead of time of your needs to get you there in plenty of time to get thru the airports security.
