1. the good: once we got the new room, it was very nice and quiet, tv worked, and the other manager who promised us our room originally ended up knocking off 100 dollars per night on our bill for first two nights in the crappy room.

5. Best of all - we were there the busiest week of the year and yet heard absolutely no noise at night (except the fireworks new Year's Eve, which we watched from the balcony, as we sipped complimentary champagne.

7. Oddly, a trip to the pool presented the only glitch in our trip (the robe in my closet - that i had never worn - had an old tissue in it and when asked, the front desk forgot to bring a new one out to me at the pool.

8. Bathroom was clean and new, but tub is set into a marble tile box.

9. As for the service, we had no problems, the staff were always very friendly and up for a chat and we had no issues getting new keys for our room (and we lost it 4 times).
