1. So we recently returned to the Oasis for a few days layover when en route to Bali, and were happy to see that it has been reasonably well maintained, and still provides clean, safe, and comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price (ours was about 70 USD off-season through Expedia).

2. Value is very good, very reasonably priced for the city, and the big plus, they have FREE PARKING.

3. Definitely for the budget traveller, our room was clean, relatively spacious, with a coffee maker, cable tv, and free wifi (the last of which is, for some reason, not advertised, so it was a very pleasant surprise).

5. There was also free covered parking, which is very helpful as parking in san francisco is extortionate, and for this reason we would recommend using public transport.

8. Overall, I would rate the hotel a fair place to stay, and for the price on a weekend, I would say that the rates are very reasonable.

9. There was nothing in the information that even remotely suggested that the hotel was located 2-3 blocks from the Castro, for obvious reasons.
