1. If you go some streets down in Soma, there are some cool and fairly cheap restaurants, maybe one of the only positive sides of the neighborhood.

2. The Good Hotel is just south of Market, on the edge of the booming SoMa area, which is a bit sleazy and a bit cutting edge, with cool coffee shops, new restaurants, and like that, as well as down-and-out street people hanging around.

6. You'll probably need to be up early as the bikes get rented quite early on, but it's really cool considering how much you can pay to rent bikes from the piers etc.

8. The hotel is kind of trendy and cool and looks different than other hotels but they don't have the quality of a hotel.
