2. Hotel manager went out of his way to show different rooms (the hotel was almost sold out) to accommodate my needs and, when nothing was found, contacted a number of hotels in the city to find a better choice.

7. The breakfast was depressing as we witnessed desperate guests trample each other for a thawed out pastry in a city famous for wonderful coooking - oh and the b'fast is in the lobby where there is no seating?We left and found much better digs after first night.

8. Night 2: better, but i was still annoyed and was then nitpicking about street noise (i think it is next to a fire dept or something) and hearing the people above us walking and talking.

We were also offered a free bottle of wine, got free parking $18/night for 3 nights due to the problem, and she offered to move us the remaining 2 nights to a better room with a view (nice thought: but we don't want to unpack, repack and unpack again in 18 hours)So the customer service was exceptionally accommodating.
