1. First, it is very conveniently located to Union Square, cable car lines,clubs, restaurants, etc.

2. It was very convenient location for getting to all the downtown sites, Alcatraz cruise departure pier, Haight Ashbury, and fisherman's wharf.

3. The four (rather than five) stars are because it is not my favorite location in town, but if your destinations are in Union Square or the Financial District or if you're here as a tourist, it is definitely convenient.

9. Also, a small supermarket and Italian restaurant (excellent food at very reasonable prices) also across the street add to the convenience factor when looking for a late meal after touring.
