1. The neighborhood is quiet, the hotel is opposite the entrance to the Japanese district, and near Fillmore Street, a street that becomes super romantic night with lights in the trees and restaurants for dinner.

7. Also, I was walking around alone a lot and the Japantown area was quiet and felt very safe - it was a nice place to come back to after the craziness of Union Square or Fisherman's Wharf.
