4. The Palomar is in a great location (blocks from great shopping and Rittenhouse Square), it's cool without feeling 'hipster chic', it's friendly and kind of quirky - but in a good way.

8. I know what you're thinking: most of this stuff the hotel can't control? But really, all of these problems could have been easily solved with two things: a chain lock (to keep housekeeping from coming in and my dog from going out), and a good fan (to keep us cool and to provide white noise to sleep).
