1. The Columbus was easy to find, convenient to just about everything a tourist would want to see or do, had comfortable and roomy accommodations (our room -- #101 -- even included a cozy balcony overlooking the avenue), and as a major plus boasted one of the all-time most helpful, pleasant and engaging desk clerks we've ever encountered.

2. For what we paid and to include free parking (whilst the holiday inn 1 block away charges $30 a night) and free and easy to use wifi this hotel was cheap and surprisingly convenient.

8. The wi-fi was horrendous and it has no frig or microwave in the room but it was clean, cheap and so convenient to everything-the terminus of the Mason-Powell cable car is a short 1 & 1/2 blocks and the #30 bus stops outside the front door.
