1. ) There are wonderful Jewish and Cuban bakeries everywhere for your morning coffee and pastery and good, inexpensive restaurants - Mexican, Thai, Middle Eastern, Cuban, Argentinian, Italian, etc.

2. I noticed that elevator has not been inspected since 2007- wonder how that happens - it probably wouldn't pass inspection.

3. Still that was unrelated to the hotel, which although in serious need of refurbishment, is generally very well run and has a lovely, relaxed restaurant with some wonderful dishes.
