Sure there was a typical amount of hotel shabbiness (marks on the carpet here and there but not very noticeable - I'm just pedantic) and the decor may not be to your
tast
e if you're all about the modern look.

They have: a kitchenette in every room, a staff that is beyond gracious to warm and friendly almost family, great location (behind Water Tower Place and the Hancock Building) and a lovely little restaurant that produces real
tast

Would I stay there again?? Maybe, but I may see if I can find a deal for a more upmarket / modern hotel in the future - but that's just my
tast
e, the Seneca is still a great hotel in a perfect position.

Decor is conservatively
tasteful
but spare; the bathroom especially could use at least a small punch of color.
