2. As for the location, midtown is not the nicest part of town to stay, but if you're going to be in midtown the Belvedere's location is pretty good - short walk from the Rockefeller Center and with some reasonable restaurants and bars on 9th.

7. A reasonable distance to walk to Times Square and very closes to the theatres with handy local shops and excellent restaurants very close by, Restaurant Row is a block or two away although we ate twice at the excellent Delta Grill on the same block.

8. Doesn't look much from the outside but you get a very warm welcome and great Italian food at reasonable prices and is great if you don't want to wander far after a long day's sight seeing and are a bit jet lagged.
