6. Don't be put off by mixed reviews - this is a quality property for Manhattan - having stayed in all sorts of fancy joints across the city - this is one of the few which seemed to remember good old traditional values as well as have decent rooms.

7. Also has decent food options all around including Empire Pizza straight across the street, Pho 32 vietnamese noodles up on 32nd Street and the best coffee in New York not far away on 29th Street at the Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
