6. This isn`t a problem at all specific to the Coast Gateway, but is a pet peeve of mine at hotels (and other businesses) in general.

7. The door to the room didn`t seem to be great at blocking out noise from the hall (including the lobby area if you`re on the first floor), but it was generally quiet in these areas so this wasn`t a problem.
