2. We had to make our own beds, but I liked that feature because I didn't have to worry about housekeeping coming in and moving things around - and I was able to come and go without worrying about anyone else's schedule.

5. It is sort of next to a black sand beach (more like black rock beach) which is walkable -- but not a place you want to spend the day.

6. Also, due to the fact that there are so few hotels in Hana, and the Hotel Hana is so expensive, these motel-like accomodations can jack up the prices.

7. If you're looking for a laid back, relaxing time with incredible scenic views and sounds, and don't want to spend a ton of money at a place like the Hana Maui, then this is the place for you.

9. Staying in Hana more than 1 night is not for everyone, but if, like me, you've dreamed of paradise, without all the touristy trappings, and you can be still and enjoy the breathtaking sunrises, and lush scenery, and the company of your family/friends, then this is certainly the place for you.

10. We stayed 2 nights, at the very beginning of our 12 night Maui vacation, but will most likely stay longer next time because Hana was exactly "what the doctor ordered".
