3. Vegas was hilarious - great fun - yes tacky, yes commercialised but the strip is immaculate & a scream - the casinos are vast & entertaining - loads for the whole family - not just gambling - stayed here 5 nights as a central base - went to Hoover Dam from here & Death Valley passing Area 51 - Death Valley was 118 degrees at Badwater Basin - keep this in mind if you go in July - fantastic to see & rock colours etc - the pools back at Summerbay most welcome on our return.

The evening we arrived we were a little concerned upon first impression of the resort since you are entering through the front gate, that was still being worked on as part of the renovations and the first building we saw is what I think will be the new welcome center which also is still being finished.
