1. We had dinner in the burger restaurant, 25 degrees, which also had enormous portions and surprisingly good service.

4. The concierge really helped us, the front desk did what they could, the pool-side bartenders were great, and the bellmen were good with taxi's and stuff.

5. Not exactly the greatest part of LA, but if you want to do the whole touristy Hollywood Walk of Fame thing, you're in a good spot.

6. Had the good fortune to attend a movie premiere in LA (oh la la), and this hotel was only a few minutes walk to the El Capitan theatre.

7. It's the little touches which separate the good from the mediocre, and the Roosevelt seems to have lost it's way, and at these prices, you're not really getting good value.
