8. I'm not sure if it was because we are not timeshare owners (perhaps owners are better taken care of), or if my husband and I simply didn't look like we would be spending much time by the pool and therefore would not be racking up a sizable bar bill (resulting in not much of a tip for them).

9. There is no beach access but I knew that and didn't care and there are so many beaches on Kauai I don't see why you'd care.
