1. Our room had a nice view of the mountains and vaulted ceilings (top floor), along with a small lanai and a huge modern TV.

3. They have recently finished a huge renovation and we expected to see that reflected in the rooms but it appears they spent all that money on the pool area and their new firepit as well as some other improvements.

4. If like us, you have spent too much time at large resort hotels were ocean view means dangerously hanging over a balcony railing or having to get out to the pool by 8am to 'reserve' a chaise lounge chair or being woken up at 2am by the returning disco crowd, you are in for a huge surprise.

6. Our room was very comfortable, new bed, new mattress, new carpet, new furniture, very clean, great maid service, huge new LG big-screen TV with good cable choices (couldn't find CNBC, though), small balcony with chairs for drinking coffee in the morning.

7. We upgraded for the last 2 nights to a suite on the ocean which was huge and clean and had a wonderful view.

9. The beach at the hotel is not huge but people do swim and wind surf and the pool is small but nice.
