1. I'll be honest - I was skeptical about staying here because the pictures of the rooms were 'okay,' but I was very pleased with the location and staff.

4. first room had hot water but to close to elevator shaft (please get room away from elevator) second room was Quieter but no hot water.

5. The service at this hotel is not only friendly and efficient, it is personal with a staff who are always reaching out to please guests to the very best of their abilities.

6. Waikiki Beach is small and crowded but if you want to be on the beach then check out the Outrigger on the Beach because another couple we knew stayed there and was pleased but be prepared to pay extra for the sand.

7. Some reviews of the Ohana East complain about the small bathrooms but they are average-please, if you think you need a huge luxury spa bath suite than have sense enough to book and pay for a luxury hotel.

9. We were pleased to find that the beach was nicer here than in front of the Outrigger Reef on the Beach and Fort De Russy - the sand extending into the water made water shoes unnecessary.
