1. The area that the hotel is in is very modern and clean, like a mini financial district with a shopping centre 5 mins from the hotel (which also had a Macys).

Whatever we wanted to know, the front desk staff were knowledgable and did everything they could to help (did I mention how good Felix was?)The hotel itself was modern and very clean (I've posted some pictures) and as already mentioned about 5 mins to the PATH subway which takes you into Midtown Manhattan within about 20 mins.
