1. Obviously the location of the pool relative to the position of the sun is not something that anyone can help, but the attention to detail and upkeep would go a long way in elevating this hotel to the standards I believe they attempt to be held in.

2. As a caveat, if you look at my other reviews, I am generally a very positive reviewer on trip advisor, not just a complainer with an axe to grind.

8. It is extremely well positioned and all the restaurants of the Gas Lamp Quarter are about 5 - 10 minutes easy walk.

9. We decided to stay here after reading some positive reviews in Trip Advisor and after getting an amazing rate on either Expedia or Travelocity (can't remember which one but around $220 per night).

10. EVERYONE had exceptional service skills - I remember the valet parker, the door man, the concierge, the front desk agents, the housekeepers, the director of sales, and a couple other employees we encountered (not sure what their positions were but they could've been anything from the dishwasher to the GM - you just can't tell cause everyone is extremely courteous).
