1. We got a special rate because of the group we were with, so the cost of the room was very reasonable.

2. I pulled the cover (looked like the filter hadn't been changed in over a year) off the ac/heating unit, sprayed everything down with Lysol (which I always carry with me for just this reason) and turned the heat on for about 30 minutes.
