1. The Miyako restaurant serves exceptional Japanese cuisine and has a very affordable early bird special with many choices of delicious entree every night.
"Outstanding hotel on the quiet end of Waikiki " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/27/2012 Vote
2. You need to talk 10 minutes (possibly 15 if you don't walk fast) to get to the nearest bar (except for the one at the hotel) or ABC store (there is a small convenience store at the hotel but there's no comparison to ABC).
"Great value for price, pay a bit more and stay at the main building " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/12/2012 Vote
3. Staff was very friendly (except for one trip advisor downstairs) and the service was impeccable.
"Amazing Stay! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/1/2012 Vote
4. I'd be cautious walking through most any park at night and this was no exception, however, walking by the park on either the beach or street side at all hours felt safe, with lots of people always out and about and walking around too.
"Great location at a great price " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/13/2011 Vote
5. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of beach front sitting, except for the restaurant, which was beautiful but only open at meal times, no pool or lanai.
"Motel 6 by the sea " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/30/2011 Vote
6. And as before, the front desk staff was not very nice (with one exception).
"Fool Me Once, Shame On You. Fool Me Twice, Shame On Me. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/23/2011 Vote
7. The rooms were dated, and I am not talking 1990's more like the 1970's which I would have no issue with except I found the bed to be rather uncomfortable and the rooms to be very small.
"Not my cup of Tea " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/16/2010 Vote
8. The location of this hotel is also fantastic, (except for the homeless in the park).
"Great hotel, some quirks, but overall good value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/13/2010 Vote
9. The view was breathtaking, (except for the neglected Natatorium).
"Great hotel, some quirks, but overall good value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/13/2010 Vote
10. It could be exceptional with some more renovations and more personable staff.
"Great hotel, some quirks, but overall good value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/13/2010 Vote
