7. chose this hotel for an extended weekend on my own just to relax and enjoy some sun;and in strange earth colours - what makes them look 'old' form the beginning; an american breakfast is included and offers all the choices; that makes for a good start of the day and gives additional value to the (in my case) very affordable rates; close to the hotel is a huge mall - that offers plenty of shopping opportunities, once you have finished golfing (or want to escape the heat); a map from the hotel with directions would offer some help and could be helpful; although the hotel is supposed to be in Scottsdale, I felt more in the outskirts/residential area, so if you are not into golfing, you probably need a car to get around and into 'old Scottsdale';.
