I normally don't mind the white
noise
from air units, but it sounded as if the compressor turned itself on and off multiple times in short order, which kept waking me.

Our room overlooked a busy street (M Street) so the street

During the day, the building next door is being gutted and renovated or torn down (I'm not sure which), so that added some
noise
during daytime when I was trying to work for a few hours.
