1. Hotel Ruby is not a horrible establishment, I was actually quite impressed with how similar the rooms were in comparison to the pictures on their website.

2. When it was the Rodeway it was a total dump -- it smelled, the beds were horrible, the hot water never worked, you had to crawl over transients to get to your room, etc.
