2. We arrived at the motel just before the front desk was going to close (our fault) We were greeted nicely and given our room key (109) upon opening our door we were greeted with the lovely smell of urine.

5. Bathroom was terrible looking, with rusty accessories, the room smelled, the bedding looked like it hasn't been washed, all the furniture looked cheap and tacky (you can get great old furniture for next to nothing in California, so it's no excuse.

6. The first room we saw was probably one of the darkest rooms I`ve ever been in - I think it was wood panelled and painted dark brown - it also had a very strange smell.
