It took us about 20 minutes to get to the River Walk area, Pluses for the hotel * Location is within walking distance * Free parking (downtown is expensive valet)* near on off ramp to I-35 ( Downtown driving is not visitor friendly)Minuses for the hotel* Hallway lights are dim and make the halls look dingy* Strong smell of chlorine emanating from the pool area * Breakfast is relativity Ho-Hum* No restaurant or bar I have stayed at the Holiday Inn next door and found the local area OK and wanted to try a Marriott.

3. It was only hotel close in with free parking and free internet -that was attractive since all downtown hotels around the Riverwalk charge a bundle for both plus rooms very expensive.
