1. The only reason I'm keeping my rating at 'average' is because the common spaces at the hotel are quite welcoming and the smell of Stumptown coffee greets you at the door.

2. It's pretty fantastic to walk down every morning to the smell of coffee.

7. Also, it's next to a coffee shop, which is typical Northwest, but I got sick of the smell after a few hours.
"Awesome staff, awesome location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/4/2009 Vote
8. The photobooth in the lobby, the in-house coffee shop that made the place smell so good, the gorgeous design details, having a shower in the bedroom so you can watch TV while you're in it, the great location (not dodgy like the guidebook said) only a couple of blocks from Powells and Wholefoods and just across the street from an independent cinema.
"My new all-time favourite hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/9/2009 Vote
9. One thing I noticed was the smell of old suitcases filled the room, Not good for those with allergies to dust, but anyways back to the highlights: LCD tv small but nice, sink, ingenious use of milk crates for towel holders, free internet, Stumptown coffee in the foyer, the shared baths were clean and huge, and pretty friendly front desk staff- they gave us doggy treats and great tips on parking for free- I don`t understand how some reviewers felt hoodwinked.
"Dog friendly hotel - affordable - good locaton " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/19/2008 Vote
10. Great design, great smells and all the super cool hipsters in the lobby made me feel like I was 22 and cool again even though I`m rapidly approaching 40 and not so cool anymore.
"7 nights at the Ace " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/8/2008 Vote
