1. And the extereior showed obvious extensive carpenter ant damage, and one morning breakfast on the patio was rudely interupted by a swarm of yellow jackets that appeared to come from the roof area of the cottage.

2. Overall, the paint on the exterior is faded at best, and peeling at worst, but that just makes it easier to see the damage from the wood boring insects.
