1. Room was depressing and outdated-looking, claustrophobically small and with one tiny window way on one side of wall that gave room a jail-cell/dorm effect; bed had that brown and gold, old-lady-quilted-housedress-type bedspread that looks designed to hide stains.

2. We arrived and the 'lobby' was crazy tiny: Us and one guy in front of us made passage of others virtually impossible unless we backed into big crammed area of tables, chairs and other furniture (a bad omen, as it turns out).
