1. Problem was the entire hallway smelled of sewage - apparently that was what the construction was all about.

4. Yes, the musty smell could be slightly detected in the lobby, as with many buildings built in 1930 era, but it really was not offensive to me.

5. I read the reviews as I like to know what to experience, and was a bit reluctant due to the number of negatives about poor service, worn out furniture and old style television set that could not be easily viewed, plus several 'musty smell' reports per the reviews.

7. As a matter of fact, the furniture was in poor condition, the carpet was dirty, the loveseat`s upholstery had a deep 15-20-inch gash, and there was a very musty smell in the room.

The upholstery on the couch in our room was stained and ripped, with the stuffing showing; the bed`s mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable; the carpet was really grimy; the hallway smelled; the phone handset never worked and never was repaired (though we notified management); and the bathroom sink ran rusty water the first two times we turned it on.
